We collect information needed to provide ecommerce services, process orders, support customers, and operate online stores. This may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, delivery or collection details, billing details, order contents, account details, customer messages, and store activity such as items viewed or added to a cart.
We may also collect basic technical information, such as device, browser, IP address, and site usage information, to help keep stores working reliably and improve the customer experience.
How we use information
We use information to operate ecommerce stores, receive and manage orders, communicate with customers, provide support, improve store performance, prevent misuse, maintain records, and meet legal or business obligations.
We only use customer information for purposes connected to the store, order, service request, or communication that the customer has made with us or with a store we manage.
Order and payment-related information
When a customer places an order, we use order information to confirm the purchase, prepare the items or services, arrange delivery or collection, handle returns or support requests, and keep an order history.
Payment information may be handled by payment providers or other payment integrations. We may receive payment status, transaction references, order totals, and related records needed to confirm or manage payment. Customers should not send full payment card details through WhatsApp, email, or support messages.
WhatsApp/order notification messaging
We may use WhatsApp to send order confirmations, delivery updates, collection notices, and support-related messages. These messages are operational messages connected to an order, delivery, collection, or customer support request.
Customers can opt out of WhatsApp order notifications by replying to a message or by contacting us at ian@opki.io. Opting out of WhatsApp messages may mean that order updates are sent through another available contact method instead.
Service providers and integrations
We may work with service providers and integrations that help operate ecommerce stores. These may include hosting providers, ecommerce platforms, payment providers, delivery or logistics services, analytics tools, customer support tools, email services, and WhatsApp Business API providers.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us or to the store. Their own terms and privacy notices may also apply when customers use those services.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide ecommerce services, manage orders, resolve support issues, maintain business records, and comply with legal or accounting requirements.
Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information, the store involved, and the reason the information was collected.
Customer rights and choices
Customers may contact us to ask for access to their personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion where appropriate, or help with communication preferences.
Some information may need to be kept where it is required for order records, legal obligations, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, or ongoing service delivery.
